Wild Flow Method
A transformative movement practice that trains and regulates nervous system, brings hidden patterns to light, builds resilience, and expands awareness.
The Wild Flow Method is a movement approach that uses the Wild Flow Yoga Board as a feedback environment to surface patterns, deepen awareness, and cultivate adaptability. By engaging with dynamic balance, practitioners develop physical resilience, nervous system regulation, and a greater capacity to respond to change — on and off the board.
Meet The Founder

With a lifetime of movement, from my roots as a competitive athlete and martial arts practitioner to years of dedicated yoga and a passion for surfing, I have always been fascinated by how different modalities shape both the body and the mind. My journey with the Wild Flow Method began on the narrow logs and uneven surfaces of the wild as I found them the most engaging environment for my yoga practice; I felt my entire body activate in ways a flat, static mat simply couldn't achieve I could sense the centered, alert and steady mental space that followed the physical experience. It was powerful, I had to bring it into our yoga studio and this is how the YogaBoard came into creation.
Drawing on my background in Wilderness Therapy and Psychosomatic work, I looked beyond the physical equipment to design a Method. This system integrates body, mind, and spirit, offering students a rich, multi-dimensional experience that translates its' benefits into everyday life.
The Mechanism
Stepping onto a narrow, elevated surface naturally mobilizes attention and physiological readiness. The body responds by organizing posture, breath, and movement more precisely, while the brain integrates sensory input from the feet, joints, and vestibular system.
As practitioners successfully adapt, the nervous system experiences cycles of activation followed by regulation. These repeated cycles strengthen the ability to remain calm and effective in the presence of challenge, building resilience that extends beyond practice.
The result is a positive feedback loop where movement refines awareness, and awareness refines movement.
Principles of the Wildflow Method
The Wildflow principles create a learning environment where feedback, challenge, and curiosity support growth across physical, mental, and emotional dimensions. Together, they guide practitioners toward greater awareness, adaptability, and transformation.
1. Awareness Through Sensory Feedback
The board provides immediate, nuanced feedback that sharpens perception and presence. By tuning into subtle signals of balance, pressure, and alignment, practitioners cultivate deeper awareness of how they move, respond, and organize themselves in real time.
2. Resilience Cultivated by Adaptability
Changing conditions invite continuous adjustment. Learning to respond fluidly builds nervous system resilience, fostering steadiness, resourcefulness, and the capacity to meet challenges with clarity and confidence.
3. The Physical — A Reflection of the Mental
Movement reveals patterns of attention, tension, and habitual response. Observing how the body organizes offers insight into mental and emotional tendencies, creating a bridge between inner awareness and embodied change.
4. Environment as a Catalyst for Transformation
A novel and constrained environment brings habitual strategies into awareness and invites reorganization. By engaging with new conditions, practitioners release outdated patterns and discover more adaptive ways of moving, thinking, and relating.
5. Refinement Under Managed Pressure
Just as skill deepens when there is meaningful demand, the board's constraints call forth focus, precision, and engagement. Dormant capacities emerge, allowing both physical coordination and mental clarity to be refined through challenge.
6. Play as a Pathway to Learning
Curiosity and exploration create a safe space for experimentation and growth. Approaching practice with play encourages creativity, reduces fear of failure, and supports learning that is both integrated and sustainable.
