How to set up your display stand

Board Care & Longevity Guide

Storage & Environment

Our boards are built for action, both indoors and out! However, the wood is a natural, "living" material that reacts to its environment.

  • Store Indoors: While your board loves a sunny day outside, it is not meant to stay there. To prevent warping or sun damage, always store your board indoors in a climate-controlled space.
  • Keep it Dry: If your outdoor session gets a little damp or the board gets splashed, simply wipe it down with a dry cloth after your session.
  • Clean Before Storing: If you've been using it in the grass or dirt, give it a quick brush or a wipe with a damp cloth (followed by a dry one) to keep it fresh for your next indoor session.

Our Natural, Non-Toxic Finish

Your health is a priority for us. That is why we never use harsh chemicals or toxic stains. Every board is sealed with 100% food-safe, non-toxic natural oils. This finish is safe for your home and protects the wood fibers from the inside out.

Refreshing Your Board

From time to time, you may wish to refresh the wood to maintain its natural richness and keep the board looking its best. This simple treatment helps preserve the beauty of the wood and is only needed occasionally, even with regular use.

If desired:

  1. Clean the surface
Wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth and allow it to dry completely.
  2. Apply a small amount of Tung oil
Place a few drops of oil on a soft cloth.
  3. Spread a thin layer
Gently wipe the oil across the wood, creating a very light, even coat.
  4. Buff away excess
After a few minutes, wipe the board with a clean cloth to remove any remaining oil.
  5. Let the board rest
Allow the board to rest for 12-24 hours before practicing again so the oil can fully absorb & cure

This quick refresh helps maintain the board’s natural character and should only be needed once in a long while.

Safety & Smart Practice

Enjoy your practice with these essential guidelines
  • The Quick Check

Before each session, inspect your board. Ensure the wood is structurally sound, hardware is tight, and there are no deep splinters or cracks.

  • Choose the Right Surface

Set up the board on flat, stable surfaces. Ensure all support points are making solid contact with the ground. Avoid unstable surfaces that shift or sharp inclines to prevent tipping.

  • Clear Your Zone

Give yourself room to move. Maintain at least 5 feet of clear space in all directions. Make sure you’re away from sharp corners, rocks, tall edges, or anything else you wouldn't want to fall off or land on.

  • Know Your Limits

The practice with the WildFlow yoga board requires focus and coordination. If you’re feeling fatigued, dizzy, or otherwise "off," save the session for another time. Always stay alert and mindful of your current skill level.

  • Play Smart

Falling is part of the process, but safety is your responsibility. By using the board, you’re accepting the risks involved with this practice. If kids are using the board, make sure an adult is there to supervise.
