Board Care & Longevity Guide

We’ve put a lot of heart into crafting your board, and with just a little bit of love, it will last for years of adventure. Here is everything you need to know about keeping your board in peak condition.

The Perfect Home: Storage & Environment

Our boards are built for action, both indoors and out! However, the wood is a natural, "living" material that reacts to its environment.

  • Store Indoors: While your board loves a sunny day outside, it is not meant to stay there. To prevent warping or sun damage, always store your board indoors in a climate-controlled space.
  • Keep it Dry: If your outdoor session gets a little damp or the board gets splashed, simply wipe it down with a dry cloth after your session.
  • Clean Before Storing: If you've been using it in the grass or dirt, give it a quick brush or a wipe with a damp cloth (followed by a dry one) to keep it fresh for your next indoor session.

Our Natural, Non-Toxic Finish

Your health is a priority for us. That is why we never use harsh chemicals or toxic stains. Every board is sealed with 100% food-safe, non-toxic natural oils. This finish is safe for your home and protects the wood fibers from the inside out.

Refreshing Your Board (The "Glow-Up")

Over time, especially with heavy use or outdoor play, the natural oils will eventually be absorbed. When the wood starts to look a little "thirsty" or dull, it’s easy to give it a refresh:

  • When to Re-oil: We recommend a quick maintenance coat every few months if you use it frequently outdoors.
  • What to Use: Since your board is already finished with natural oils, you should continue that tradition! We recommend using Avocado Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, or a Beeswax-based wood butter.
  • How to Apply: 1. Ensure the board is clean and dry. 2. Rub a small amount of oil into the wood with a soft, lint-free cloth. 3. Let it soak in for 15–20 minutes. 4. Wipe off any excess with a clean cloth.

This simple routine keeps the wood supple, well-sealed against moisture, and looking brand new!
